Follow up after a sales call
A good discovery call produces requirements, objections, a timeline, and a list of people who must say yes. Here is how to turn it into a follow-up the whole account team can rely on, with every claim traceable to what the buyer actually said.

Five steps from call to follow-up.
Capture the call
On a paid plan, open Meetings, paste the meeting link, and choose Send assistant. It joins as a visible participant and announces itself. Or upload the recording afterwards with the type Sales call.
Sending the assistant to a call: paste the link, choose what to capture, and send. Name the people
On the recording page, the speakers panel lists each voice. Choose Tag speaker to name your buyer and their colleagues, so answers and findings say who asked for what.
The speakers on a recording. Tag speaker names a voice; your own team is recognised next time. Read the recap
The recap separates decisions, action items with owners and dates, and open questions. Sales calls also surface requirements, objections, and commitments as findings.
The recap of a discovery call: budget, approvals, timing, and next steps, each linked to its moment. Ask what the buyer needs
Ask the recording or the deal's project: "What do they need before they can approve the pilot?" or "Who signs off, and on what?" Every point cites the moment it was said.
What the buyer needs, answered from the call and the deal's documents, with citations. Send the follow-up
Export the recap to Google Docs to draft the email, or push it to Notion or Slack for the account team. Approve the action items and push them to your tracker so nothing waits on memory.
A discovery call with a retailer.
- The assistant records a discovery call with Kestrel Outfitters, a retailer whose mobile conversion lags desktop.
- The account executive tags the head of eCommerce. Their own team was recognised from existing voice profiles.
- The recap captures the budget, the approvals needed from the CFO and IT security, the holiday freeze, and a pilot on 10% of mobile traffic from January.
- Asking the deal's project "What do they need before they can approve the pilot?" lists the security documents due by October 16, with citations to the security review and the proposal.
- The recap goes to Google Docs for the follow-up email, and the action items go to the tracker.
Before your next call.

Sales follow-up, answered.
Yes. The assistant joins as a named participant, announces itself in the meeting chat, and stops when the meeting ends or when you stop it. Recording people is a responsibility: tell participants, and follow the rules that apply to you.
The platforms available to your workspace are listed on Meetings and on New content under Capture a live meeting. Paste a link and Citesvue recognises the platform before you send the assistant.
Yes. Tagging a speaker creates or updates their voice profile, and later recordings in your workspace recognise the same voice. Confident matches are named for you; less certain ones ask someone to verify. You can mark a speaker anonymous instead of naming them.
Only if you choose. In Settings, under Your profile, Send recaps to invitees decides who receives a recap by email after a meeting: only you, people in your organization, or everyone invited. Otherwise export the recap and edit it like any document before you send it.
