Speakers and voice profiles
Every recording is split by speaker automatically. Whether those speakers have names depends on how the session arrived - and you can always name them yourself.

Three ways a speaker gets a name.
Separation is automatic; naming depends on what the source could tell us.
When the assistant captures a call, speakers are matched to the meeting participants, so the transcript says who spoke by name without you doing anything.
On any recording, play a speaker sample and tag who it is. The name is then used in the transcript and in citations from that recording.
An upload with no participant list starts as "Speaker 1", "Speaker 2", and so on. That is honest rather than a guess, and tagging fixes it in seconds.
What profiles are, and are not.
- A named directory
A voice profile is a person in your workspace directory - a name, and optionally an email and role - that you can tag speakers as. Included on paid plans.
- Tagging is per recording
Naming a speaker applies to that recording. It does not retroactively rename them everywhere.
- No voice biometrics
Citesvue does not fingerprint anyone by voice or recognise a person across recordings from their audio. Nothing about you is enrolled biometrically.
- Webex is still catching up
Webex transcripts are captured in full, but per-speaker labels are not there yet. Tagging works as it does anywhere else.
Correct speaker names improve answers, because a citation can then say who said something - see ask your evidence.

- No. There is no voice fingerprinting and no cross-recording voice matching. Speakers are separated acoustically within one recording; names come from the meeting participants or from you.
- No. Tagging applies to the recording you did it on, because matching a voice across recordings would risk renaming the wrong person.
- Per-speaker labels are still rolling out for Webex. The transcript itself is complete, and you can tag speakers by hand.
- It depends on plan - the free plan has none, and paid plans include a growing directory. The pricing page lists the number for each tier.
- Yes, from Settings under Voice profiles. Removing a profile does not alter recordings already tagged with it.
